Our Favorite Beverages for the Holiday Season and the New Year

Warm Drinks To Welcome The New Year by Saint Germain CateringHappy New Year’s from Saint Germain Catering! With the holiday season almost over and the new year arriving, it’s no surprise that our thoughts here at Saint Germain Catering turn to warm celebratory drinks! There’s certainly no underestimating the importance of a cup of good cheer during this most festive time of the year, and we’re here to impress your guests with exceptional catering throughout the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC areas with festive fare and beverages.

As the premier event caterer in the area, we invite you to take a gander at our holiday menu to learn more about the drinks that we can offer to your guests at holiday events and to welcome the new year. Whether your tastes lean toward our fizzy pomegranate and cherry sparkling punch, our sweet homemade holiday fruit punch with oranges, or creamy eggnog with nutmeg and fresh whipped cream, we can provide them all with pride. However, don’t forget that we can also help your guests stay warm with hot chocolate complete with candy canes and fresh whipped cream, and even hot apple cider with cinnamon!

Outside of the catering world, we’re excited about the holiday season and eager to share some of our other favorite beverages as we enter into 2014. If you’re looking to spice up your new year with unique and interesting beverages, give some of the below a try!

  • Mulled Wine. A traditional holiday drink across the pond, this sweet, warm, alcoholic beverage can include flavors such as cinnamon, cardamom, and coriander. It also contains citrus such as orange and lemon for a complex drink that imbues good cheer into any (adult) gathering!
  • Pear-Basil Sipper. This unique holiday drink would also be at home at a summertime soiree. It relies on pear-flavored vodka and pear nectar together with lemon-lime soda to produce a drink that is light, refreshing, and holiday-colored. We’re sure you’ll agree that the combination of citrus and pear is a perfect “pear”-ing for your festivities.
  • Spiced Christmas Tea. Sure, Christmas is over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate the new year with a Spiced Christmas Tea! And, you don’t need to bring alcohol into the picture to have a fantastic new year drink. Give this festive tea a try – you’ll love the star anise, passion fruit, and cinnamon flavors while curling up in front of a warm fire on a cool winter night.

The holidays and the start of a new year are some of our favorite times here at Saint Germain Catering. We wish you and yours the best of this most festive of seasons, and encourage you to get in contact with us to take care of any event catering you might need over the course of the new year!
